Ageing Well Buddy Swim Volunteer

Opportunity image

Volunteer to help older adults (50+) become physically active and gain confidence in a swimming pool environment.

As a Buddy Swimming volunteer, you'll be the first friendly face that participants see and a companion in the water. Our volunteers help participants regain their confidence and improve their strength, coordination, and flexibility. The project is in partnership with NHS Lothian and is part of the UK Ageing Well network. You'll receive training and support as a volunteer, and you'll deepen your connections within your community, improve your physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing, and be better equipped to manage stress.
